Posting Rules
Party Activities
All events must be run past the
Activities Committee for review. Our goal is not to limit
events, but to make sure they are appropriate to the Party,
have the needed data, and are related to Republican Party
goals. Please contact the office with your event, giving
us as much lead time as possible. Ideally, we would like
a month; we can act quickly, but you run a greater chance
of not getting posted if you wait till the last minute.
For further information, either phone, or email the office.
920-494-2448,
or Office@bcrepublicans.org.
Candidate Activities
The
same rules as above
apply, except that the posting must
be submitted to the Endorsement or Campaign Committee for
review. Please note that while we may post candidate information
and are happy to do so, we do not endorse candidates in
primary elections, only in general elections. We will, however,
post events for multiple candidates as long as they conform
to the guidelines as mentioned above. We do have a formal,
written, endorsement policy. Again, for more details, phone
or email us. office@bcrepublicans.org.
Submissions
PHOTOS: We love photos, since
a picture is often worth more than a thousand words. Please
read the following.
We prefer photos to be in JPEG or JPG format for ease of
handling. This is the usual standard for digital cameras
and saves us a lot of time. If we must, we will scan photos
in and will return them to you, but hope you don't submit
photos unless you have a copy. We reserve the right to edit
them as we see fit or not to use them at all. The easiest
path is to email your pics to our office address. Please,
please, adequately title them so we know what we are looking
at. If they are date specific, please submit them well in
advance.
TEXT:
We truly appreciate everything you submit to the site and
will try to use it. Again, we reserve the right to edit
for size, and will not post anything that we decide, at
our sole discretion, to be rude, obnoxious, insulting, or
just plain dumb. You get the picture.
GUEST
COLUMNIST OF THE MONTH: We encourage a limit of roughly
500 words, but obviously there are big words and little
words and we will try to include as much as possible. Email
your text to the office, office@bcrepublicans.org.
We will route it appropriately. We have some
loose rules regarding content, which we will be happy to
share with you. We encourage local submssions as well as
state or national, but request that you edit yoursolf a
bit before submitting. Please include your name and other
contact information, both for us and for visitors who might
want to send you a response.
Plus...
We
need your support to make the Brown County Republican Party
a strong force in your community.
Can you volunteer?

Posting Requests
In
General
We would like all submissions,
whether text, photos, event notices, or historical data,
to come in as email text or as an attached WORD document,
(.doc), since we don't have a lot of time to do retyping.
We will, however, review material in other formats for inclusion,
since we want this to be, above all else, Brown County's
forum for Republican ideas.
Accuracy
Except
for rare exceptions, all postings should come from current
members of the Brown County Republican Party. Although we
will try to verify what has been submitted, the person submitting
a posting assumes all reponsibility for accuracy and content.
What Kind of Material?
"Our
goal is not to publish what may be worthy, but what helps
to advance the principals, those candidates and elected
officials, and the principles of the Republican Party.
Principals and Principles."
Opinions,
carefully expressed and brief, on current issues, as space
allows. We will publish your name of course. This is not
a blog site.
Photos
of Republicans at ork, or local Republican leaders in the
past, or just about anything Republican. By "at work"
we don't neccessariy mean as officials, but mostly doing
normal things within the community.
Jokes.
Cartoons. Famous Quotes. Party
Events, Candidate Events, Social Events...
Send them in.
